Arteco is pleased to announce the completion of the integration of the SpeedFace+ readers for the detection of the body temperature and the face mask by ZKTeco, a world-renowned company specialized in verifying biometric data.

ACCESS CONTROL READERS with body temperature sensor

ZKTeco’s award-winning SpeedFace access control reader models SF1005-V and SF1008 now have the option of an integrated thermal sensor that can accurately detect a person’s body temperature within +/- 0.6 degrees Fahrenheit when standing within 18 inches. Body Temperature Detection is widely adopted throughout the world as an effective method to alert or prevent people with elevated body temperature from entering public venues including schools, restaurants, hospitals, health clubs, doctors’ offices, theaters, and many more.

ZKTeco SpeedFace readers also include an embedded face and palm recognition sensor which provides 100% touchless user-authentication. Speedface readers can quickly and accurately identify a user’s face when standing within 2 feet and/or their palm is held within 15 inches of the reader. SpeedFace readers can even recognize users’ faces while wearing masks, thus providing users both enhanced security and convenience.

Arteco video event management software (VEMS) is designed to help organizations gain the most relevant video and security information at any given time. Their focus is on identifying critical events and areas of interest, rather than sifting through hours of non-critical video footage. VEMS combines alarms and notifications from third-party devices such as video surveillance, access control, license plate recognition (LPR), fire detection, gunshot detection, video analytics, building automation, and NOW ZKTeco SpeedFace+ readers.  By integrating SpeedFace+, Arteco VEMS can now additionally monitor and report upon individuals detected having elevated body temperature or not wearing a protective face mask.

As noted by ZKTeco USA President & Founder Manish Dalal, Arteco was one of the first software developers to offer video event management tightly integrated with access control. Conversely, most other VMS software companies limit their access control integration to simply sharing databases for alerting & reporting purposes. Arteco allows users to completely manage our ZKBioSecurity access control software and Arteco’s VMS from a single interface. It’s very impressive. And now additionally, Arteco can manage ZKTeco SpeedFace+ readers which monitor & detect individuals having elevated body temperature or not wearing a mask. Arteco brings tremendous value-add to our customers. And as ZKTeco introduces new devices and software applications to the market, we look forward to Arteco integrating them with NEXT VEMS, as well.

“The integration of ZKTeco’s body temperature technology adds incredible value to Arteco’s offer, especially in this particular period”, affirms Giampaolo Sabbatani, CEO of Arteco. “Our mission is bridging the gap between effective security solutions and security professionals. Having SpeedFace access control readers integrated into Arteco management software is part of this mission we pursue every day by proposing custom-made solutions that make their job much easier.”
