ARTECO chalks up another product improvement with its revised User Policies

ARTECO GLOBAL, the leader in Video Event Management Software (VEMS) for the Security Industry, is pleased to announce that it has significantly improved its integrated functionality devoted to User Policy Management in Arteco Logic NEXT.

End users can now log in to the Microsoft Active directory as one of the three user group categories (User, Power User, and Administrator) and profiling is determined based on privileges in the Microsoft Active Directory.   This allows Arteco Logic NEXT to instantly recognize and give the appropriate permissions to new personnel once they are added to the master user database and assigned a group. Access to specific cameras, management of  pan-tilt-zoom control and rights for exporting video can be set for each user group. Overall, users will have a much more streamlined interface to work with and will certainly have better control of by allowing Users to access Logic NEXT through the MS domain user or the traditional Arteco user name.

 “The management of access rights to a single camera for different local users or MS-AD groups will now be possible”,  states Arteco CTO, Enrico Viarani.  “Moreover, a graphical user interface (GUI) for hierarchical roles will be available so an Administrator can now easily change the user rights by GUI on Arteco Logic NEXT”.

The improved functionality will be available on the complete line of Arteco-Server Enterprise solutions and as optional in the Arteco-Small Business and Professional categories.

Finally, Arteco’s new centralized system will benefit SMEs whose user profiles might need more extensive updates to access camera streams.  These features are also compatible with EU tender offer requirements.
